Something you ate?

While eating properly is one of the tenets of staying healthy, it is paramount the food we eat is safe.

Unfortunately, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada, one in eight Canadians will become ill from food-borne diseases from food prepared at home.  However, learning how to prepare food safely can help eliminate the chance you will become sick. Follow these 4 safe food handing practices steps,  provided by Be Food Safe, to ensure the food you make keeps you healthy.

As well, The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issues public advisories and email notifications for food recalls for all high-risk food recalls when the product is available for sale or could be in consumers’ homes.  You can sign up to receive these notifications here.
